Ceteris Paribus
The images presented here, are from a body of work entitled “Ceteris Paribus,” Latin meaning “Other things being equal.” The invisible force through which matter changes – the state of flux in which all organic matter is caught. As changes are made, there are constants that do not.
Based upon the human figure the images represent the subtle psychological changes that take place and how they manifest themselves in the body. Suo Marte; “by one’s own exertions” relates to the poses which are in part a “performance”; with each image the goal is to capture a certain moment in time and space.
Reflections, transient by nature, evolve to transform the future. Occurring in these fleeting acknowledgements are overlooked truths, signs of underlying patterns in the internal and external life cycles. Other things being equal, in this evolution and devolution are moments of faith.
